Responsibilities for Project Manager

  • Determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
  • Track project costs in order to meet budget
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

Qualifications for Project Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field
  • 5-8 years of project management and related experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline

Project Manager – Internship (Currently no open positions)

Working as an Intern means taking on responsibilities, projects, and critical issues that impact our business and customers in real-time. We’ll have product management opportunities like supporting the entire life cycle of project/services for key lines of business, conducting research and analysis of consumer needs, providing analysis of revenue growth and profitability, and identifying product/service improvement opportunities (just to name a few!).

You’ll contribute your creativity and great ideas, and you’ll be challenged to deliver complex business solutions. We’ll give you hands-on projects and the chance to make an immediate impact. Job Responsibilities We Have In Store For You. 

  • Lead and support teams on program strategy and aligns it with the program business goals. Defines and establishes the overall program structure, including the definition and scope of all sub-projects, program support activities, and organizational structure.
  • Organizes and facilitates status meetings, communicates the project scope, goals and deliverables to project team members and presents progress reports and updates to all stakeholders
  • Measures and tracks project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Proactively identifies risks and issues to the project and determines mitigation tactics with the project team to keep the project on track
  • Coordinate with team to manage key budget activities including planning and forecasting for both annual and monthly business cycles
  • Defines scope of Programs. Incorporates strategic factors into Program/Project Scope and recommendations. Influences and manages the factors that create change and scope creep. Can manage and help others to understand the implications of change including legitimate scope shift and impact.
  • Establishes the program KPI measurements and quality control points and aligns reporting to track progress against the measurements.
  • Influences project execution approach to deliver under tight timelines while minimizing risk to customer experience and product quality.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree program majoring in Project Management or a related Technical field including: Product Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Management Systems, and Information Technology
  • Able to work 15 to 25 hours per week during regular daytime business hours (schedule will be flexible to accommodate classes and coursework)
  • Ability to commute to T-Mobile’s offices in Bellevue, Bothell or Snoqualmie, WA
  • Permanent authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • High School Diploma or GED
